How do I make the CarPlay or Android Auto connection?
There are 2 ways to connect your phone to the CarPlay or Android Auto system:
(1) Wireless - First, pair your phone with the host screen via Bluetooth. Then, confirm to use CarPlay or Android Auto on your phone. The connection is made through 5G WiFi. For iPhones, CarPlay will connect automatically after the initial pairing. Android phones require a tap on the screen to confirm the use of Android Auto. Please keep your phone's Bluetooth and WiFi on.
(2) USB connection - Simply connect your phone to the system using a USB cable.
How do I set up a Bluetooth helmet?
Follow these steps to set up your Bluetooth helmet:
Step 1: Search and pair with CarBt_*** on your phone. Both wireless CarPlay and Android Auto connections work via WiFi.
Step 2: Go to Settings > System > Device MIC and turn it OFF if you have a Bluetooth helmet.
Step 3: Go to "Bluetooth Emit" to search and connect your Bluetooth helmet.
Is the screen waterproof?
Yes, the screen is IPX7 waterproof, meaning it can withstand being submerged in water up to 0.15-1 meter deep for 30 minutes without affecting performance or causing water leakage. This allows you to enjoy music and online maps even on rainy days.
Does the screen have a built-in power module?
No, the screen does not have a built-in power module. After a reset, the date and time may not match, but it retains the Bluetooth connection. Once CarPlay is automatically connected, it will synchronize the time from your iPhone.
Does the screen have a built-in microphone and speaker?
Yes, the screen comes with a built-in microphone and speaker for convenient hands-free communication.
Can I use a Bluetooth headset to listen to audio from the CarPlay system?
Yes, you can listen to all audio (music, navigation, etc.) via a Bluetooth headset or helmet by pairing it with the CarPlay system. You can also make phone calls using the headset. The system supports various headsets, such as Sena, NEXT Pro, and Amazon Echoshow 5. However, it is currently not compatible with the Midland intercom.
Can I use CarPlay and Android Auto simultaneously?
No, CarPlay and Android Auto cannot be used at the same time. You can only use one system at a time, depending on your connected device.
Can I download APK files using the screen's WiFi connection?
No, the screen does not run on an Android system and cannot support APK downloads. The WiFi function is only used to connect to CarPlay or Android Auto and transfer data between your phone and the screen, ensuring a stable and automatic connection.
Which iPhone and Android versions support wireless CarPlay and Android Auto?
iPhone 6 and above support wireless CarPlay. For Android phones, a 5G WiFi function is required to support wireless Android Auto.
Is the screen easy to install on my motorcycle?
Yes, the 5-inch portable screen is designed specifically for motorcycles and comes with a mounting kit for easy installation. The package includes clear instructions to guide you through the process.
