What is the WiFi password for the Wireless Carplay Adapter?
You do not need to connect the adapter to Wi-Fi. After successfully pairing the adapter with your phone via Bluetooth, the Wi-Fi will automatically connect. Ensure that your phone's Wi-Fi is turned on and not connected to any other networks during the pairing process.
After pairing Android Auto adapter, can I use Android Auto function or compatible apps without reconnecting via USB?
Yes, you can use Android Auto wirelessly after the initial setup:
- When using the adapter for the first time, connect your phone to the adapter using a USB data cable to activate Android Auto.
- Ensure that the Android Auto app on your phone is updated to the latest version.
- After the initial pairing process is complete, turn off your phone's Bluetooth and exit the mobile application. Restart the adapter and reconnect to Bluetooth.
Audio input or output issues: calls rejected or forwarded to voicemail / no audio / microphone not working / music playback interrupted or paused / voice functions abnormal.
- Check if your phone or Android device's Bluetooth is connected to other devices, such as earphones or smartwatches. If so, disconnect from those devices, then reconnect your phone's Bluetooth to the vehicle for Android Auto.
- When on a call, ensure that your "Audio" output option is set to Carplay or Android Auto.
The indicator light of the adapter is still on after the car is turned off.
This is normal behavior and not a cause for concern. The adapter's light will not immediately turn off when the car's power is switched off. It may take a short while for the light to completely go out. Rest assured that the adapter's power consumption is minimal and will not drain your car's battery.
Can I connect my phone to other Wi-Fi networks while it is connected to the wireless Carplay Android Auto adapter, or will the adapter's connection occupy my phone's Wi-Fi?CopyRetry
When enjoying the wireless Android Auto adapter function, your phone's WiFi will be occupied by the adapter. However, you can still use your phone's mobile data (SIM card internet) at the same time.
Unable to automatically reconnect why?
- When getting in the car, please ensure that your phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are turned on and Bluetooth is not connected to any other devices.
- If the issue persists, try restarting both the phone and the adapter.
Can the adapter be paired with multiple phones?
The adapter can be paired with a maximum of five phones, but only one device can be connected at a time. If you would like to pair the adapter with a new phone, please cancel the current connection first. By default, Bluetooth will automatically connect to the last used phone.
What should I do if I am unable to find the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi networks for my wireless Carplay Android Auto adapter?
First, ensure that the wireless Carplay Android Auto adapter's power indicator light is blue, and plug the adapter into the port designated for wired Carplay or Android Auto. If you are still unable to find the adapter's Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, try connecting it to another phone. If only a specific phone is having connection issues, try resetting that phone's network and Bluetooth settings. If the problem persists on other phones as well, please contact customer support for further assistance.
Does the wireless Carplay Android Auto adapter support playing YouTube videos?
The wireless Carplay and Android Auto adapter has limited YouTube support:
